Valeriya Andriyanova from Turkmenistan

14 March 2017

What enchants Valeriya about Turkmenistan is its city Ashgabat, because all its buildings are clad with white marble.

In 2014, she came to Malaysia with her mother in search for a suitable institution of higher learning. “I first applied to another university, but I didn’t feel comfortable there so my search continued.”

“My mother recommended that I try Limkokwing University after looking through its advertisements and that was the best decision I ever made.”

Networking Opportunities

Valeriya is grateful for the opportunity to network and interact with students from various parts of the world.

“I made new friends from a lot of countries and this was really eye-opening, because I got to learn about other cultures.”

“Limkokwing gave the platform to explore talents I never thought of, for example, I modelled for the Fashion Club and had plenty of photo shoots which I’m really proud of.”

Global University Campus

The Global University Campus was one of Valeriya’s greatest experiences. As a Bachelor of Business (Hons) in International Business student, the Global Campus exposed her to the latest trends and practices of global companies.

“We visited companies like BBC, Apple, Aardman Animations, Google and other international companies. We learned new strategies, business ethics and developed skills that would help us kick-start our careers after we graduate.”

Heal the World Project

“My favourite project I undertook here was taking part in the Heal the World projects. Through these projects, we as students worked tirelessly to raise funds and run campaigns for grief-stricken countries.”

Valeriya said Limkokwing instils students with humanitarian, cultural and creative skills so that they graduate ready for the world.
