Why study International Business?

The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) has kicked off a new battle for global technological supremacy, the rise of the Indo-Pacific, clean food revolution, transformation of higher education and more. With 2022 more than half over, now is a great time to start thinking about the future and the business trends that could take off in the next few years.

In a globalised world, corporate survival and growth are dependent upon understanding the international business environment. Business professionals are increasingly servicing the needs of customers around the world, yielding them all of the elements for a successful professional and personal life.

International business supports the development, strategy and management of organisations at a global level. A Bachelor of Business (Hons) in International Business programme will teach you to think in a critical way and also develop your problem solving skills.

In your studies you’ll focus on many different business types, from micro-organisations to large multinationals and high-growth organisations. You’ll develop the skills and the professional perspective to navigate the challenges these organisations face in their everyday business operations.

You will also learn about operating across different socio-economic and institutional environments, working with state-owned enterprises, and doing business globally.

By graduating from an international business degree, you’ll have developed both general and specific business skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of topics such as business in the 21st century, global business, marketing, economics, accounting, policy development, strategic management, creating a business plan, and consumer behaviour.
