The Continent of Opportunity

Home to 7 of the 10 fastest growing economies

Africa’s Middle-Class Boom

Africa is the world's second-largest and second most populous continent. At about 30.2 million km² (11.7 million sq mi) including adjacent islands, it covers six percent of the Earth's total surface area and 20.4 percent of the total land area. With 1.0 billion people (as of 2009, see table), it accounts for about 15% of the world's human population.

The continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, both the Suez Canal and the Red Sea along the Sinai Peninsula to the northeast, the Indian Ocean to the southeast, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.

The Quintessential Maverick

Limkokwing is the quintessential maverick. He doesn’t follow the rules. He isn’t hemmed in by the straitjacket of convention. He is a visionary, spotting opportunities and trends long before others catch on. Most importantly, he doesn’t give a damn about his critics.

While the definition of mavericks may differ somewhat on semantics, on substance they describe a highly creative, witty, intelligent non-conformist.

Innovation is the driving force of transformation.

Bestowed the title of "Father of Innovation in Creative Education"
by Ministry of Science, Technology and Information, Malaysia in 2010

Limkokwing and Africa

Africa is an important focus for Limkokwing University because globally it is recognised as “the next growth frontier on the planet”. By 2040, Africa is expected to overtake China and India with the largest and youngest workforce in the world. Limkokwing’s presence in Africa is to build human capital that is pivotal in moving the economies of these countries up the value chain and empower as many young people as possible.
