General Manager

Responsibilities

  • Oversee entire campus operations & administrative spectrum that includes organisation development, talent management, feedback loop, security measures, compliance and related area
  • Oversee general compliance pertaining to campus management & operations
  • Spearhead new initiatives to improve cross-departmental collaboration, communication and general team welfare
  • Able to leverage on technology, automate and enhance workflow, processes and company’s productivity
  • Work with senior management team to assess and refine existing policies, procedures and benefit schemes via external and internal benchmarking and ROI analysis
  • Design and implement organisation development strategies that are aligned with company’s values and culture to achieve greater effectiveness, productivity and scalability
  • Manage high level relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
  • Commercial management, P&L responsibility and business operation
  • Planning, organising, coordinating and on-the-day delivery of wide range of events throughout the year, including public events, student recruitment events such as open days and visit days, local community events, VIP visits, invitation-only stakeholders events, staff engagements activities and other related matters
  • Serve as an ambassador for the university, inspiring trust and confidence at all levels

Requirements

  • Applicants must at least possess a Professional Degree/Masters or PhD preferably in Management
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a senior level or similar position
  • Relevant exposure in service and education industry preferred, especially with experience in management of international operations
  • Strong operational, strategic, delivery and financial acumen
  • Ability to work with various agencies, locally & internationally
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to translate an idea or problem into a simplified message with clarity, in both verbal and written form
  • Applicants should be self-motivated, focused, confident and have strong interpersonal communication and written language skills, be able to multi-task and have the ability to meet deadlines
  • Possess good interpersonal, project management skills, complex problem solving and organisational skills
  • A pleasant personality and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Highly committed to meet professional standards under tight deadlines
