As many as 27 delegates from Felda Global Ventures Holding Berhad visited Malaysia's leading center of innovation as part of the Leadership Development Forum.
Limkokwing University Cyberjaya, recently opened its doors to the delegates of Felda Global Ventures Berhad (FGVHB) who were given a chance to see the creative and innovative culture of the university first hand.
Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad is a globally-integrated and diversified agri-commodoties company which operates in ten countries across four continents. Based in Malaysia, they are principally involved in plantations, sugar and downstream businesses, primarily devoted to the cultivation of oil palms in East and Central Kalimantan.
The delegates are part of the Leadership Development Forum (LDF) who came to explore the leadership and achievements of the university’s founder, Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing. They visited the Branding Innovation Centre which showcases a wide range of local products that have been re-branded to sustain the competitiveness of Made-In-Malaysia products in the industry. The gallery features a variety of brands, packaging designs and logos with an aim to assist small to medium sized industries to bridge the design gap and move up the value chain.

They were also brought to the University’s-Creative Library which houses the university’s achievements and its founder’s contributions over the years. Through pictorial panels, the library provides the visitors with an insight to the power of creativity as well as the outcome of innovation. The delegates were given a thought-provoking tour that traces local and international campaigns and projects undertaken by the university. From tourism, humanitarian causes to socio-economic development, the visitors saw what creativity and innovation can achieve all housed in this unique library.

Limkokwing University has built close ties with Felda and in 2005 initiated the ‘Generasi Baru Programme’ that aims to transform the children of Felda settlers throughout the country into creative, innovative and industry-ready graduates.
