Founder and President of Limkokwing University receives BrandLaureate’s Branding Man of the Year Award
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Lim Kok Wing was bestowed with The BrandLaureate Brand Leadership Award - Branding Man of The Year 2014-2015, at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur on the 10th of February. Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim, Limkokwing Vice President of Brand Creativity and Talent Development, received the award on behalf of Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing.
The BrandLaureate Brand Leadership Award is conferred to outstanding leaders who have played fundamental roles in building their brands to be distinguished market leaders.
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Lim Kok Wing first set up his business, Wings Creativity Consultants, in 1975. He was wooed by an international network and his enterprise grew to become a global business through a merger with the third largest communication network in the world. He broke away to form his own integrated communications organisation that created a name for itself through outstanding work for clients.
It was in the field of education that Tan Sri Lim pioneered industry-developed education that other universities now follow as the standard. Limkokwing University of Creative Technology is recognised as a leader in the field of creative education and is known as the World’s Most Globalised University with students from over 160 countries. Tan Sri Lim was the man who assisted Nelson Mandela in South Africa’s first democratic presidential elections in 1994 and initiated campaigns that highlighted the plight of Muslim Palestinians and persecutions of Bosnians during the war torn years.
