Heal the World foundation holds Charity Bazaar

Limkokwing University’s Heal the World foundation recently held a week long bazaar to raise money going towards the rebuilding of a school that was destroyed by typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

Heal the World foundation is an outreach initiative comprising of Limkokwing University students, formed with objectives towards promoting compassion and social awareness through campaigns and fundraising activities for the most pressing global concerns. It was launched in 2009 in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and continues to raise funds towards various world issues since then.

The bazaar was held at the University plaza from the 22nd - 26th September and it comprised of varied stalls offering anything from cupcakes to tarot card readings. The food stalls were among the favorites, with students lining up to get their sweet treats, fresh fruits, and a variety of finger food. The fashion stalls also attracted a good crowd, with their colorful assortment of fashion accessories and trendy clothes.

Heal the World Foundation, which is mostly made up of student ambassadors from across the world, has branches in the University’s international campuses like Botswana, all tirelessly working towards the club’s philanthropic mission and touching lives across the world. They have successfully held concerts, bazaars, bake sales and other events to raise funds for those in need. A week prior to their bazaar, Heal the World foundation had a stall at the Merah Putih Club’s Pakserda bazaar, where they also sold baked treats and drinks, raising funds for the same cause.
