A delegation from Gabungan Persatuan-Persatuan Seni India Malaysia (GASIM), the Federation of Indian Malaysian Art Associations, were warmly welcomed to the Cyberjaya campus on 2 October 2018 to discuss collaboration in several areas including scholarships placement for deserving Malaysian Indian youths, student academic workshops, and industry-driven training programs.
GASIM President, Mr. Vijayan Palaniappan, and his distinguished colleagues said they were impressed with the many achievements of the University and its Founder President, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr Limkokwing, after taking a tour of the Presidential Library before meeting with University representatives.
“Education is the way to decide the fate of our future generation, and it is a blessing to have a University like Limkokwing to be part of the Association’s initiative in enhancing learning and development skills among the Indian youths in Malaysia,” he said.
Limkokwing Vice President of Brand Creativity and Talent Development, Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim, said that the partnership could venture into many different areas such as the Limkokwing Cultural Festival, fashion shows, and many other similar activities.
“The Indian students in our University are very active in the field of arts and entertainment, which is why they are always among the best performers in our annual cultural festival,” she said.
Dato’ Tiffanee also urged GASIM to actively participate in the many cross-cultural activities held in the Cyberjaya campus which she sees as a great way of strengthening the partnership to a greater level.
