Limkokwing University and, Botswana School of Arts sign MoU

Limkokwing University of Creative Technology Botswana, on April 23, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Botswana Society for the Arts (BSA) in Gaborone. The vice president - academic management, Limkokwing University, Dr Raphael Dingalo said the university was known for its continued efforts and drives towards economic endeavours that assist communities.

The institution, therefore, was borne out of their belief that there was a direct correlation between what they were doing as the university and what applied in the real world.

Dingalo noted that among the roles of BSA was improving the profile of the arts, and providing help and advice to artists through skills training, professionalism and information dissemination which characteristics are found in Limkokwing University.

Launching the MoU and scholarship announcement, the regional director of Corporate and Media Relations, Mercy Thebe said that as the university, they take all MoUs they sign with different organisations as an opportunity to contribute significantly towards the economy and the National Development Plan.

“To date we have signed MoUs with the Vision 2016 Council, The Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture, Yarona Fm, and the Department of Broadcasting Services to mention a few,” said Thebe.

She added that they are honoured to formalise their relationship with BSA as they found it fitting that the two parties forge a strategic partnership, and strongly believe that this marriage will facilitate effective long term execution and delivery of both the BSA and Limkokwing mandates.
