Limkokwing University was recognised as a world leader in digital creativity, web content and coverage at the Malaysia Social Media Week (MSMW) Awards on 2 August 2018 at Zebra Square, Kuala Lumpur.

The University bagged two awards; Social Media Excellence Award – Global Leadership in Digital Creativity and Social Media Excellence Award – World’s Leader in Web Content and Coverage.

Organised by Malaysia Social Media Chambers (SMC), the event paid tribute to Malaysia’s top social and digital media enthusiasts for their exemplary achievements and roles in the interactive media field.

Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, YB Tuan Muhammad Bakhtiar Wan Chik, was among the notable guests.


Trail of Prestigious Awards

These two latest awards come on the back of another significant recognition bestowed upon Limkokwing University, which is the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Gold Award under the Private University services category - marking a sixth time that the University has won the accolade since 2011!

At last year’s Malaysia Social Media Week, the University was named the World’s Most Popular Online University while Founder President, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Limkokwing, was named ‘Social Media Icon’.

As a strategic partner, Limkokwing previously hosted the Malaysia Social Media Week Summit back in 2016 at its flagship campus in Cyberjaya.

Themed “Engage, Educate, Entertain”, MSMW 2016 attracted social media professionals including executives, entrepreneurs, journalists, bloggers, brand managers, social media strategists, students, artists, activists, and technology/media specialists to share their experiences.
