The Kid in the Closet
When five-year-old Dodo is taken to the city to live with his parents, he’s unwelcomed by his sister Lily and finds it hard to fit with the new environment. Gradually, Lily learns to become a caring sister to her little brother who’s illegal under the One Child Policy.
Yingxiu Shen
Yingxiu was born in China in 1989. She studied filmmaking in Hong Kong and Beijing before being accepted by the Victorian College of the Arts, where she wrote and directed several films. Yingxiu graduated in 2013 with her short film “The Kid in the Closet.”
