The architect as a practicing professional has the creative responsibility of designing buildings that shape the physical environment. To understand the diverse technological, humanistic and economical nature of environmental problems, the architect must have a sound general education. More importantly, the knowledge learnt must prepare him or her for a life of continuing change in which problems to be solved will be large and small - for every sort of function, in every type of climate and for every budget. The curriculum of this programme is designed to prepare students for a career that supports the building design industry. It equips students with the necessary technological skills and knowledge that range from building services, building construction and materials, to technical and CAD drawings, and office practice.
