More than 60 students showcased all that they have learnt during their time at Limkokwing University during the final presentation exam that was held on 8 December 2017 at the Cyberjaya campus.
Students from the Faculty of Design Innovation, Faculty of Multimedia Creativity, Faculty of Architecture & The Built Environment, Faculty of Business Management & Globalization, Faculty of Communication, Media & Broadcasting, Faculty of Information, Communication Technology, Faculty of Multimedia Creativity as well as the Limkokwing Sound & Music Academy took part in the exhibition.
The exhibition provided graduating students with a platform to display their knowledge and skills while providing networking opportunities with industry experts.
For Syrian student Sundus Abou Alshamat who is pursuing a Degree in Photography, the experience allowed her to unleash her creative potential.
She showcased her project ‘Taxidermists are not Hunted’ which is a series of photographs that portray the art of dry preservation of animals.
“Limkokwing University has provided us with the skills to photograph and document while learning to be fast and make fast decisions when doing a series of works,” she said. “My lecturers guided me on how to be professional.”
She also thanked the University’s lecturers who were always available to provide advice and teach techniques on how to create and enhance her skills.
For Iranian student Reza Yousefi who is pursuing his studies in animation, the exhibition was an opportunity to expand his understanding of his field of expertise.
“We were encouraged to learn to use other software which is necessary for our skills,” he said while adding that the skills he had learned were all related to the animation and games industry.
He was able to improve his creative potential by experimenting with the various tools under the guidance of the University’s experienced academic professionals.
“Our lecturers are always there to help us if we needed anything,” he added. “When we experienced technical problems, they were always helpful.”
Limkokwing University is a multicultural learning environment with a hands-on approach to education. Students acquire industry experience under the supervision of highly trained academic experts.
