A new beginning for emerging Limkokwing Fashion Graduates

Kuala Lumpur - The Limkokwing Faculty of Fashion and Lifestyle Creativity graduating class of July 2013 comprising of students from different countries from all over the world returned to Publika, Solaris Dutamas on Saturday, 13th of July with a dazzling runway display accompanied by musical and dance performances that charmed the crowd.

Thirty -two designers from 4 countries namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Singapore will be showcased their 50 diverse garments on models from 21 countries; United Kingdom, Russia, Lithuania , Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Brunei, Mexico, China, Malaysia, Iran and South Africa amongst others.

The talented emerging student designers landed into their young careers and made strong statements, as they showcased their distinctive designs which were inspired by art themes such as those from the abstract expressionist era to the native florist patterns from tropical regions of Africa, Asia and Australasia, during their graduate runway debut.

“For a fashion student, a debut fashion show is typically a dream - this fashion show took that dream and grounded it to reality. It was a very special show for us to present our creativity to the world, especially to the industry guests who came to support us and I could not be more thrilled about it,” shares Diploma in Fashion and Retail Design graduate, Diana Caitlin from Indonesia her joy on the show.

The student’s Fashion Editorial lecturer Sherly Febriani Julianto expressed her pride toward her students ’’I am so proud of this graduating class of 2013, It deconstructed the very notion of what a fashion show is and they have definitely been working hard from were created from concept to execution. I wish them the very best in their future endeavors in their careers.’’

This special edition of Creativity in Motion included leading retailer Nose who sponsored us with their trendy product, Mori Pin with their collection of accessories to match with the ensembles, Devnani Jewels, Venessa Diamonds, Jewelllerists and Santoryni for their sparkling jewelry that made the garments shine during the show.

The Faculty of Fashion and Lifestyle Creativity is amongst the most dynamic places to train for a career in the international fashion industry worth billions of dollars worldwide. It provides certificate programs and a Diploma in Lifestyle Design, focusing on hair and make-up, as well as a Bachelors of Arts (Hons) in Fashion and Retail Design and a Diploma in Fashion and Retail Design.
