Chairman of the Beijing International Institute of Asia-Europe Education and Culture (AEEC) Jimin Zhang paid an official visit to Limkokwing University Cyberjaya on 1 July 2019.

He was accompanied by AEEC’s President Yao Bo and the Universal Capital Consultancy Executive Director Dato’ Sri Belle Tang Lee Cheng.

The visit was aimed at discussing new partnerships in developing a long-term for PhD programme especially in Management.

Upon arrival, the delegates were familiarised with the campus environment through an extensive tour then met with Founding President of Limkokwing University Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Limkokwing, as well as the University’s Senior Management team.

Highlighting that it was not the first time AEEC cooperated with overseas universities Jimin Zhang mentioned that it is involved with the development of international programmes one of them being to introduce Chinese culture to the world.

“This collaboration project between AEEC and Limkokwing University is proposed to be a mix and match programme for our Open University of China students who are interested in pursuing PhD in Management at Limkokwing University, and it is a fully supported programme by the China Government.”

“By enrolling in this comprehensive programme, students are offered an opportunity to develop close industry linkages and work with world-class academics who are actively engaged with the corporate, and government sectors,” Jimin Zhang.

According to Yao Bo, students from Beijing who usually fly to Germany are now given other options, either to choose to pursue studies in Germany or Malaysia.

“If the student passes the requirement, they normally take four subjects in China and they will be given a choice either to Germany or Malaysia.”

Dato’ Sri Belle Tang added that although there are so many things that can be highlighted, she believes working with Limkokwing University is the right choice, and students from China will enjoy a better PhD programme.

“We will create and send the proposed list in a short time in order to preserve the cooperation in the PhD programme between AEEC and Limkokwing University.”

Belle expressed that she was impressed with Limkokwing’s talent and capability.

Based on her personal observation, she said the Limkokwing University PhD programmes are advanced, and they focus on developing professionals with higher critical thinking skills in the field of management capable of conducting cutting edge research.

“This degree programme is designed to meet the needs of high-achieving business professionals who wish to advance their career and are aspired to climb up the management ladder either in the public or private sectors.”

“The three-year doctoral programme aims to support the professionals in developing rigorous thinking process, acquire deeper management knowledge and advanced research methodologies, and promote analytical skills that enable them to solve complex organisational problems,” she said.
