Les' Copaque Production Sdn. Bhd. and Acestar Sdn. Bhd. gave Limkokwing University students an in-depth understanding of animation technology and its opportunities during an industry talk on 26 February 2019 at the Branding Gallery, Cyberjaya campus.
As the main animation company, Les’ Copaque Production Sdn. Bhd. was established in December 2005 to spearhead Malaysia’s animation industry and provide opportunities for local graduates to showcase their talent.
Thus Les’ Copaque Production’s first project, the 3D animated movie ‘Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula’, which was launched together with a short spin-off animated series called ‘Upin & Ipin’ became the now-iconic animated series.
“It would be awesome to have a local animation movie that shows an Asian culture story and showcase it to the world. After success in our first animation film ‘Pada Zaman Dahulu’, we managed to complete the movie with RM4 million budget and get back RM6 million, and the movie is a box office movie,” said Syed Nurfaiz Khalid, the Les’ Copaque Project/Technical Director of Upin & Ipin The Movie.
Unmatched Creative Approach to Learning
In commending Limkokwing University for engaging its students with hands-on training, Acestar Sdn. Bhd. Head of Marketing Benjamin Yeoh said, talent is everywhere in Limkokwing University.

On inviting the University students to taking part in the upcoming ACA World Championship, Benjamin Yeoh informed students that through the competition, they will build a stronger profile to support their careers.
ACA World Championship is a global competition that tests students design skills using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Organized by Acestar Sdn Bhd, ACA Championship Malaysia 2019 sets a platform for students whose major is in Art & Design to showcase their work on a broader scale while opening up many opportunities for them such in securing of employment.
