Limkokwing University and the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) is in talk to collaborate to use each other’s resources and promote cooperation.

In this regard, the RSA’s representative Mr. Joe Hallgarten, Interim Director of RSA Global, visited Limkokwing University’s main campus in Cyberjaya on 25 November.

After a tour of the University’s facilities, Limkokwing University’s senior management sat down in a meeting Mr. Hallgarten. The meeting discussed various issues of mutual interest and stressed the need for cultural and student exchange, collaborative courses and agreed to benefit from each other’s resources.

The mission of the RSA is to enrich society through ideas and action. The RSA believes that all human beings have creative capacities that, when understood and supported, can be mobilised to deliver a 21st century enlightenment. The RSA works to bring the conditions for this change not just amongst its diverse Fellowship, but also in institutions and communities such as Limkokwing University. The RSA Fellowship is a global network of 28,000 people who share its values and work together to support RSA mission.

According to Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Lim Kok Wing, Founder and President of Limkokwing University, “Collaborating with RSA benefits our graduates when they as educated people become junior Fellows and understand the values of RSA and contribute to change.”

Limkokwing University is the first ever Asian University to establish its campus in the United Kingdom and to set up its off-campus franchisee campuses in Africa and Asia. The University is acknowledged by UNESCO for its methodology in reinventing education and is part of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI). UNAI is a global initiative that unites higher education institutions around the world. Established in 2010 by UN Secretary-General Ban-Ki Moon, it aligns these institutions with the United Nations in furthering the realisation of its purposes and mandate through activities and research.
