The Leaders Online Honours Tan Sri Limkokwing with a Posthumous Award For His Outstanding 50 Years of Leadership
The late Founder and President of the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Limkokwing, was bestowed with the prestigious Malaysia Top Achievers 2022 award for his 50 years of meritorious and outstanding leadership at a Gala Dinner held at the Hilton Hotel in Kuala Lumpur on 31 March 2022.
The award was presented to and graciously accepted by Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim, Senior Vice President, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology at the star-studded dinner, which was attended by guests of Honour YB Senator Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Masrizal Muhammad, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and YB Dato’ Indera Mohd Shahar bin Abdullah, Deputy Minister of Finance.
In his tribute, YB Dato’ Indera Mohd Shahar bin Abdullah said MALAYSIA TOP ACHIEVERS 2022 deservingly “celebrates these exceptional breeds of successful men and women and their triumphant stories. He went on to elaborate that they “have proven to all of us their capability to lead their businesses, community and country despite the terrible pandemic.”
Taking to the podium, YB Senator Dato’ Dr Ahmad Masrizal Muhammad stressed that educators and industry leaders “have an important role to play in the depth of perception and understanding of the country’s education development to prepare young people as our future leaders.”
Tan Sri Limkokwing - well-known regionally and internationally for his vast contribution to creative technology education - would have agreed wholeheartedly with the Deputy Minister of Higher Education as he was redesigning the younger generation to become future leaders the world needs.
A passionate driver of human resources development, Tan Sri Limkokwing is also best remembered for his involvement as a true patriot in areas of economic and social development in Malaysia through his creative leadership and philanthropic endeavours.
MALAYSIA TOP ACHIEVERS 2022 is a fitting accolade to the late Tan Sri Limkokwing; he worked tirelessly to take education to the world. He left behind a successful legacy of international campuses in Asia, Africa and Europe, and his dream to transform Limkokwing University into a world-class global university is already becoming a reality.
MALAYSIA TOP ACHIEVERS 2022 is an inaugural event organised by The Leaders Online jointly with the co-organiser, My Events International to honour the successful and outstanding performances of top achievers in Malaysia. The award also recognizes the contribution of the winners for their “tremendous devotions towards the prosperity of the economy in the region.”
The award recognises achievements in 28 categories which include: Lifetime Achievement, Visionary Leader of The Year, and Masterclass CEO of The Year among other citations. This year’s inaugural award comes after a lapse of two years.
