Limkokwing University students from across faculties hosted ‘Art from across the world’ bazaar at the plaza on 31 October 2019.

The exhibit boasted over 60 boots which displayed arts and crafts, music as well as food inspired by students’ traditional backgrounds. It also provided students with an opportunity to define their creative identities while showcasing skills they learned in class.

Ma Yawen from China studying Bachelors of Arts (Hons) in Broadcasting and Journalism addressed the importance of providing platforms for students to apply their skills.

“Limkokwing University helped me develop my confidence by giving me a platform to express my creativity and this University syllabus is the best and always outside the box,” she said.

Shima Farahani from Iran who studied Master in Digital Film and Television drew a portrait of Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Limkokwing as a creative way to thank him for all the great things he did for Limkokwing students.

“I drew this portrait as a gift for Tan Sri Limkokwing. It is my way to express my gratitude and appreciation for him. Tan Sri is very humble and cares about his students. He always tries to be in touch with them and help them when they need,” she said.

Nadine Menaa from Algeria studying Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Creative Multimedia emphasised on how Limkokwing University is a place where students can learn and improve their talents and creativity.

“The best thing about Limkokwing University is that it promotes creativity. It gives students the space to showcase and present their talents to the world,” she said.

Art Director and Organiser of ‘Art from across the World’ Bazaar, Mr. Lum Weng Wah said that the University will be hosting bazaar every fortnight.

“Well-known companies such as Krispy Crème, Dahmakan and Juice King were part of our Launch today. We already have quite a number of outsiders who have shown interest for the next one.”
