The evening began with anticipated excitement as the guests arrived in their stunning best. The event was graced by Harpers’ Bazaar Account Manager Shermaine Wong; Cleo Magazine’s Account Executive Liz James; representatives from industry brands namely Santorini, Nose, Devnani, Venessa Diamonds and more; members of media; students and guests. They were accompanied by Limkokwing University Founder and President, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Lim Kok Wing and Limkokwing University Associate Vice President and Fashion Club Creative Director, Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim.

“This is my second year walking for the Limkokwing’s Creativity in Motion. It is fantastic as always, the atmosphere, the energy with the students and the lecturers coming in as a family. I wore something avant-garde; it was white and the shoes has tentacles on it. It was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it as always. The students have improved over the years in terms of cutting and designing. Limkokwing University is producing better quality students each year. For me, Limkokwing University is a melting pot of countries,” said professional model, TV host and Miss World Malaysia 2009/2010, Thanuja Ananthan.

Hosted by Maya, a student from Pakistan, the Creativity in Motion crowd was delighted with talented performers from Limkokwing such as the cheerleaders, choir, as well as singers Ernie Shaheerah and Jonah Sithole.

Former Zimbabwean Idols winner, Jonah Sithole knows how to woo the crowd.

Dimple Devnani, who owns Devnani (Diamond Jewellery and Italian Fashion Jewelry) said that, “All the student designers had come up with lots of new designs which haven’t been seen in today’s fashion industry. I think Creativity in Motion was a very good concept. I liked the long gowns with lots of colours in them, something that you can wear all the time. I can see the confidence in the students and I feel they can do wonders in the fashion industry.”

“The students are always keeping up with the trends now. You can see that very much in their collections. They are testing themselves and experimenting with the new technologies. Each student is developing their own personality and trying to figure out their signature thing.

Limkokwing graduates have branded themselves as people to look out for which we are forever very proud of them. Lots of Limkokwing graduates have their own brands or are working with the biggest brands now,” said Dato’ Tiffanee.

Dato’ Tiffanee also added that, “The best part was the students’ smiles as they waved to their parents and friends who cheered for them. The best part of being in Limkokwing is you get the support that you want so much so easily here. All the best to the students, can’t wait to see them on the news or in vogue.”

With students from 165 countries worldwide, the University has a fantastic track record in launching new stars into the professional industry.
