Arun Chaudhary receives an Honorary Doctorate in Entrepreneurship from Limkokwing University
The Chairman and Managing Director of Chaudhary Group Institute of Management (CGIM) Arun Chaudhary was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Entrepreneurship by Limkokwing University on 19 December 2019 during its convocation ceremony at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).
The award recognised his commendable contribution to education in Nepal as well as his outstanding strategic mindset, people management skills and philanthropy.
Arun Chaudhary is the youngest of the 3rd generation of the illustrious Chaudhary Group (CG) of Nepal. GC is the first Nepalese conglomerate of business interests covering diverse sectors commands a presence in the South and Southeast Asia.
During his interview he mentioned that he has visited many universities but Limkokwing impressed him the most.
“This is the University I have been looking for. The students do everything with pleasure and my belief is that anything that is done with pleasure delivers the best outcome. Limkokwing has an affiliation with Nepal and we are currently in talks for expansion,” he said.
“Limkokwing is a hi-tech establishment. In a country like Nepal, where people come from various income groups, education can be provided in a very inexpensive manner with the same quality and output, and that is where Limkokwing will make a great impact to the country.”
Giving his thoughts on the Founding President of Limkokwing University and his tireless efforts in globalising creative educations Arun said, “Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Limkokwing is an icon. I am so inspired by his energy, creativity and perspective on things. Even if I’m able to emulate a fraction of what he has done, it would be a great achievement for myself.”
Arun described Linmkokwing University’s graduation ceremony as a festival “This is not a traditional graduation programme, it is a festival that celebrates the achievement of the fellow graduates.”
Creativity is the key to success and the world is about innovation and change. Creativity is tomorrow- and that is where Limkokwing is heading.
