Elizaveta Vetluzskikh has always dreamed of becoming a professional artist by pursuing a Diploma in Interactive Multimedia Design.
“All my life I loved drawing,” she said. “Though I never thought about it as a career, when the time came to choose my major, I thought, why not?”
Choosing Limkokwing
She picked Limkokwing University for its quality education which would help her to prepare for the real world.
Limkokwing University provided her with the learning approach that offers a multicultural experience. She also added that English was a common language that made it easier for her to make new friends.
Becoming a leader
“I’ve had the opportunity to try myself as a project leader,” she said. “I was class president and represented our class on different events.”
During her studies at Limkokwing University, she participated in several events including the University’s cultural festival.
Different from other Universities
“Lecturers in Limkokwing are different from lecturers in other universities,” she said. “If you have a question, you can be sure you’ll get a reply.”
She added that lecturer at Limkokwing University are often ready to provide students with help in their studies.
“Most of the time, you feel like the lecturer is your friend,” she said. “They have more experience and they are ready to share it.”
Developing Multimedia Skills
“During my course, I learned 3ds Max, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, PF track, Flash, and Premiere Pro.”
She also learned to write html and CSS languages as well as photography and videography skills. Other programmes include Maya and Zbrush.
“My final project in Diploma in Interactive and Multimedia design was a motion graphic presentation.”
Her project presentation was an abstract story titled ‘Dreams’, a story that shows night coming to the city and people going to sleep. As these people fall asleep, their dreams begin to take over the city. The story describes that there are several kinds of dreams whereby some people enjoy pleasant dreams while some experience nightmares.
Future plans
After finishing her Diploma courses, she hopes to pursue a Degree in Animation. She also added that she would take the time to explore more cultures and people.
