Limkokwing University presented scrolls to more than 1000 students from 65 countries at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) on 22 July 2017.
Titled ‘Design Your Future’, the graduation theme describes the capability and mindset of the University’s graduates who possess the attributes to thrive in the ever-changing landscapes of highly competitive industries.
In attendance at the ceremony were: The Limkokwing University Chancellor Her Royal Highness Sultanah Pahang Sultanah Dr. Hajjah Kalsom DK; Minister of Human Resources, Malaysia Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Dr. Richard Riot Anak Jaem; Founder and President of Limkokwing University Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Lim Kok Wing; Limkokwing industry partners, members of the academic fraternity; members of the media as well as representatives from ministries, embassies and high commissions.
Her Royal Highness Sultanah Pahang Sultanah Dr. Hajjah Kalsom relayed her congratulations to all the graduates and reminded them to be passionate and focused in reaching their destination, and treat everyone with compassion.
“Limkokwing University has placed the future in your hands. Take this opportunity to make a difference. We armed you with some of the most important tools needed to forge ahead. The experience you have gained here will stand you in good stead. Your journey ahead will be about what you have gotten in your journey to graduation today,” she added.
In his message to the graduates, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Lim Kok Wing urged the students to take the world to a whole new level of achievement.
“This University has enabled you to strive and achieve amazing goals, and you have shown us that all of you have incredible gifts. Your qualification will be a major asset in your career, but it’s just the platform from which you will be guided by experiences you have had here. Your leadership, relationships and networks will be the most important attributes in taking your career forward. Invest in being the best leader and team member you can possibly be,” said Tan Sri Lim Kok Wing.
Limkokwing University trains its students to be tech-savvy and graduate industry-ready by keeping them abreast of new tools, emerging technologies and industry trends. The University works hand-in-hand with technology providers and is constantly upgrading its curriculum to match industry standards.
