On 1 June 2018, students got up close and personal with Limkokwing University Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Cedric Bell, as he shared important tips on preparing for examinations.

“Exams are just a part of your long academic journey ahead,” said Prof. Bell, a triple graduate of Law from University of Birmingham, England.

He said creative industries are emerging and the need for young talent to come out and shine will also grow.

He also encouraged students to pursue their Masters right after completing their Degree as it will help increase employability opportunities.

“It is a tough world out there, to be the best, you need to shine brighter than everyone and show people that your existence is a useful one,” said Prof. Bell.

He also said Limkokwing students are fortunate to be given the opportunity to study in a globalized University that welcomes all kinds of beautiful cultures from across the globe.

Pioneering education world

“In my experience of travelling to various Universities across the globe, I can say, Limkokwing is definitely one of the best and the diversity here is extremely phenomenal,” he said.

In summary, he encouraged students to do their very best in their exams and not to be too stressed out: “Being stressed doesn’t help at all but instead, be confident and show the world what it means to be a Limkokwing student.”

SMDA student, Afshin Velayutham described the motivational talk as an inspiring tool as it geared the students to be confident and to have self-esteem going into the examination hall.

“It is talks like this that could help us (students), to have self-realization on the importance of staying calm and composed heading into the exam hall,” he said as the talk drew an end.
