Representatives from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) and California College of Arts (CCA) visited Limkokwing University’s flagship campus on 4 March 2019 to discuss collaboration opportunities.

UJ’s Senior Manager of International Student Recruitment, Admission and Marketing, Tshidiso Konese and CCA’s representative, Viktoria Kolesnikova, received a Limkokwing red carpet welcome and attended a meeting aimed at discussing MoU developments between the higher education institutions.

During their meeting with the Founder and President of Limkokwing University, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Limkokwing and Limkokwing senior management team, they explored the similarity and need to collaborate.

Tshidiso Konese acknowledged that moving forward it would be advantageous to students of the University of Johannesburg and Limkokwing University to collaborate.

“We are looking forward for an MoU between University of Johannesburg and Limkokwing University,” he commented while adding that UJ is the fifth best university in South Africa.

According to the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), UJ is ranked 790 best universities in the world for 2018.

This collaboration was supported by the representative from CCA, Viktoria Kolesnikova.

She said that Limkokwing’s transformation skills based Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) is a world-class education programme.

“Even though CCA is not as big and glamorous as Limkokwing University, CCA is a fantastic and home for some of the world famous names and it is quite similar to Limkokwing University, very industry-driven but classic. It will be the first to partner with a Malaysian institution.”

At CCA, the university supports creative and technology practitioners who strive for a world that’s brighter, more inclusive, relentlessly innovative, and ecologically resilient.
