Limkokwing University and Founder President receive top honours from World Confederation of Businesses
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr Limkokwing was honoured with the Legend in Innovation Award from the World Confederation of Businesses (Worldcob) in a very special ceremony held on 12 November 2018 at the Creativity Library, Cyberjaya campus.
Tan Sri Limkokwing is the first individual from Asia to receive the prestigious award while Limkokwing University was also honoured as the first Asian university to receive Worldcob’s Diamond Award.
Receiving the awards on behalf of Tan Sri Limkokwing and the University were Centre for Content Creation CEO, Dato’ Sri Timothy Limkokwing Jr; and VP Brand Creativity and Talent Development, Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim.
Worldcob was represented by its CEO, Mr Jesus Moran, who spoke about Tan Sri Limkokwing’s “vision and stunning innovation” for over 40 years in the industry.
“Today, I am privileged to present two of the most prestigious awards by WORLDCOB to a well-deserved global institution like Limkokwing University,” Mr Moran told the packed audience in attendance to witness the historic moment.
A True Legend
“This is a tremendous recognition for a legend who has paved the way for so many,” said Dato’ Tiffanee after accepting the award.
Tan Sri Limkokwing was presented with the Legend in Innovation Award in recognition of his leadership in education and for constantly bringing new transformation in 21st-century education.
Limkokwing University received the special Diamond Award as the winner of The BIZZ Business Excellence Award, as well as for being recognised by Worldcob over the past decade.
The Limkokwing University Goodwill Ambassadors closed the event with an uplifting live performance.
