Limkokwing University of Creative Technology’s creative web team, the World Wide Web Domination has recently won five awards from WebAwards 2013 organized by the Web Marketing Association.
The awards are:
Limkokwing Android App
- Education Standard of Excellence
- Mobile Standard of Excellence
- School Standard of Excellence
- University Standard of Excellence
Perbadanan Putrajaya Portal
- Best Information Services
Each entry was marked using seven criteria: Design, Interactivity, Technology, Content, Innovation, Copywriting and the Ease of use to target audiences.
This year’s competition also saw winning entries from industry players such as BlackBerry, Standard Chartered Bank, Cartoon Network, Coca-Cola, Samsung, Google, Gucci, University of Edinburgh, University of Washington and many more.
The Web Marketing Association is the creator of the WebAward Competition. The WebAwards is the longest running annual website award competition committed in identifying the best websites through 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all website development.
The Limkokwing Android app is a mobile version of the University’s Student Portal. Students are able to view class schedules, exam results, lecture notes and more using the application which is available on the Google Play Store. This initiative created by Limkokwing’s World Wide Web Domination is seen as an innovative exchange between the university and its students.
Limkokwing University has also created applications for both iPhone and iPad available at the Apple App Store for its students. The two iOS apps have won over 15 international awards and the most recent awards are:
