Limkokwing Swaziland won 1st place for excellence in the ‘Best Exhibition Stall’ category during Swaziland’s International Trade Fair 2015 held at Mavuso Trade Centre, Manzini from August 28 till September 6.

The event was officiated by His Majesty King Mswati III on August 29. His Majesty visited the University’s exhibition stall accompanied by His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the King of the Ashanti people in Ghana.

Also in attendance were Swaziland’s Prime Minister Sibusiso Dlamini, the Deputy Prime Minister Paul Dlamini, Minister of Commerce, Industry & Trade Gideon Dlamini, Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Trade Jinnoh Nkambule and Swaziland Investment Promotion Authority CEO Phumelele Dlamini, trade fair exhibitors, industry representatives and the general public.

The annual trade fair is Swaziland’s largest exhibition, featuring exhibitors from countries such as Botswana, Lesotho, South Africa, Mozambique, Taiwan and Ghana. The fair provides exhibitors with a solid platform to showcase their services and products to a large number of visitors from Africa and abroad.

Limkokwing University’s exhibition stall showcased global and local achievements by the University and its students. Student works and projects from its campuses at Malaysia, London, Botswana, Lesotho, Borneo, Jakarta, Bali, Beijing and Phnom Penh were creatively displayed and caught the attention of visitors who attended the exhibition.

Many students and parents were keen in enquiring about the future-oriented courses available in Limkokwing University. They were fascinated with the University’s industry-based learning approach and multicultural ecosystem which enable students to study in a creative environment.

This is the third consecutive year Limkokwing University has bagged the award for excellence during Swaziland’s International Trade Fair. The University won two awards for excellence during the 2013 Trade Fair, under categories ‘Educational Institutions’ and ‘Best Exhibition Stall’ and another award for excellence under ‘Educational Institutions’ category during the 2014 Trade Fair.
