Limkokwing Open Day draws students from across Gaborone

21 April 2017

Limkokwing University Botswana hosted an Open Day for all prospective students from 4 to 7 April 2017.

Guests at the Open Day also included parents, alumni and Limkokwing University stakeholder Doctors Aid.

It was an opportunity for them to explore the University campus and facilities as well as to hear first-hand from current students and teaching staff about studying in Limkokwing.

Lecturers from across faculties familiarised prospective students with programmes offered and also showcased students’ works. During the campus tour, they interacted with students in classes and had a chance to use the University equipment.

Interested in studying a degree in Event Management, Refilwe Tlhaselo said, “I think the open day is a great initiative by the University as it gives us an opportunity to come by and get the feel of Limkokwing and also get the chance to live it.”

She also mentioned the campus tour and engagement with students in classes made her feel like she was already a part of Limkokwing.

Other alumni shared their University experience and how they used the industry knowledge gained during their studies at Limkokwing to contribute to the society.

“Limkokwing has unleashed many creative minds and I am a testimony to that. With the skills and qualifications I got from Limkokwing, I currently have my own company called KED Interiors,” said the University alumnus Kevin Saseng.

Limkokwing University’s learning environment advocates a practical approach to education to ensure students get a smooth transition from classrooms to careers.
