The award night was organised by Cine Creation Crew (3C) together with Biro Kebudayaan Mahasiswa India, UTHM. There were 8 categories of awards which are Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Editor, Best Music Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Supporting Artist.

“I found out about the competition through Facebook, I looked into and decided to join because it was a big competition by Astro. I wanted to also test my talents and skills by applying what I have learnt,” said Heknaraja.

When asked how he feels about scooping two awards, Heknaraja could not help but credit Limkokwing University for instilling him with the right skills to be confident and stand out from hundreds that entered the competition.

“I was so delighted after receiving these awards, it was my first competition and I won. My experience studying here at Limkokwing University was great, there are so many students from different countries worldwide and this creates an exciting environment to learn in. I sharpened my skills in many areas of Animation,” he conceded.

Limkokwing University encourages students to take part in competitions, events, fashion shows, performing arts, sports and fund-raising campaigns. The experience gained gives students the ability to compete and apply what they learn in the classroom to real life challenges.
