Limkokwing boosts efforts to curb covid-19 by donating masks to Tholoana ea Lerato Orphanage

At a time when the world is in a battle with the Covid-19 pandemic, Limkokwing University continues to drive initiatives in efforts to lessen the impact of Covid-19 in the community. Recently Limkokwing Lesotho’s Diploma in Public Relations students donated masks and food parcels to Tholoana ea Lerato Orphanage.

The donation an effort made by students through contributions from their National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS) funds with the aim of giving back to the nation and assisting the government of Lesotho in fighting the spread of the deadly Corona Virus.

Through the Heal the World foundation, Limkokwing students continuously plan efforts to address the most pressing matters of their communities be it environmental or otherwise.

Seipati Ramaili, a representative of the Diploma in Public Relations year 2 students stated that their core aim of assisting children from the orphanage home was to give back to the community to help alleviate poverty and further curb the spread of the covid- 19 pandemic.

The University’s representative Mr. Steven Hlongoane stated that corporate social responsibility is part of the students’ curriculum commended the students for using this platform to put their lessons to practice. He further took the opportunity to express a word of thanks on behalf of the orphanage as it was chosen amongst many in Lesotho.

In closing, the Manager and Founder of the home Mrs. Keneuoe Letlotlo expressed her heartfelt gratitude for this notable gesture as she felt that it beneficial to the children. Mrs. Letlotlo also showed that they are grateful for being chosen amongst various homes. She further urged the students to continue doing more acts of grace to help the government in combating the spread of Covid-19.
