Limkokwing University celebrated the achievement of 26 students from Japan after five weeks of intensive English Summer Camp programme at International House Malaysia.

International House Malaysia has designed the English Summer Camp programme specifically for non-native English speakers to come to Limkowing University and learn the language through daily communication within the multicultural environment of Limkowing’s community that comprises students from 165 nations.

The Summer Camp is conducted by experienced English language trainers, with many being native speakers themselves. Students are also taught critical thinking and how to ask challenging questions in English to enable them to develop the ability to communicate easily with people from other nations and culture.

Besides the required classroom-taught sessions, the Japanese students attended special field trip sessions, which are divided into a number of day and night activities. These activities included trips to various interesting places; for example, the students spend a whole afternoon in KLCC and a week in Melaka exploring the various historical sites in the state.

“It’s been a month since we came here. I believe that my fellow friends had a good experience here including the improvement of their English language which was the main purpose of our visit”, shared student Ms. Akari Kase.

Ms. Kase wished that she could stay a little bit longer and is sad that the summer camp programme is at the end. “Thank you for the beautiful memories at Limkokwing University. I have not only learned about the English language but many other things as well,” added Ms. Kase more.

On hand to award the Japanese students their certificate of completion was Dato’ Raja Aznil Raja Hisham, Limkowing University’s Senior Vice President of Industry Empowerment.
