28 September 2020

On a constant pursuit of happiness and chasing dreams, Limkokwing University’s Sami Ahmed who studied Bachelor’s in International Business is now a Customer Happiness Executive at Bangladesh’s Youth Leadership Center's (BYLCx) online learning academy.

BYLCx’s mission is to democratise 21st century skills training for Bangladeshi youth, by making meaningful online learning experiences available anywhere, anytime. The academy offers skills from leadership to professional development.

“Despite my role as a Customer Happiness Executive, I’m constantly entrusted with tasks from other departments such as corporate training, online training, and interviewing. As education today moves towards online learning, BYLCx is focused on improving this online platform in Bangladesh. With cross training practiced, employees benefit from learning new skills such as digital marketing, operations, communication and finance.”

Sami discovered his passion for training when he found it easy to learn and teach new soft skills to students in University. “My colleagues used to call me “happiness” because I have always spread positive vibes. I miss having lunch at ‘Makan Lah’, watching fashion shows, and listening to the entrance music on campus. The memories I made in Limkokwing are evergreen and second to none.”

Sami has won both Champion and Runner-Up awards for the most creative country booths during the Limkokwing Cultural Festival, 2018 and 2017, respectively. “These are some of the most unforgettable achievements of mine. Now, I am pursuing my higher education in Ontario, Canada. The academic and cultural experience that I have gathered from Limkokwing has leveraged me to become successful in different parts of the world.”
