The architect as a practising professional has the creative responsibility of designing buildings that shape the physical environment. To understand the diverse technological, humanistic and economical nature of environmental problems, the architect must have a sound general education. More importantly, the knowledge learnt must prepare him or her a life of continuing changes in which problems to be solved will be large and small, for every sort of function, in every type of climate and for every budget.
The economic growth of many developing countries is reflected in the building of infrastructure – both commercial and residential. Therefore, the services of Architectural Technology graduates are greatly in demand in many countries.
