Indian students completed the Limkokwing University Intensive Entrepreneurial Programme on 31 July 2017 where they received the opportunity to explore Malaysia’s multicultural business environment.

Fourteen students from Uka Tarsadia University took part in a learning programme that enabled them to explore Malaysia’s commercial districts, trade customs and corporate practises.

During the programme, students visited Port Dickson, Batu Caves, Petronas Twin Towers, Genting Highlands, Central Market and Putrajaya. This programme further encouraged them to interact and discover various aspects of multiculturalism in relation to business.

For Kevinkumar Shaileshbhai Patel who is pursuing his MBA in Marketing, the exposure in multicultural Malaysia would help him understand the complexities of marketing.

“We came here for summer internship, and research is one of the topics that we studied,” he said. “Here in Limkokwing University, the multicultural exposure helps us to learn through experience and develop proper business etiquettes.”

He also added that the University’s environment enables students like him to broaden their views in regards to global work environments.

“I can learn about new cultures here, which would be helpful for my future if I go to another country,” added Kamalkumar Atulbhai Patel who is studying Masters of Business Administration.

“We do not experience the same kind of multiculturalism back home in India,” he said. “This is a unique thing here in Malaysia, especially in Kuala Lumpur city.”

The Limkokwing University Summer Camp programme enables students to develop networking skills, language proficiency and receive industry exposure.
