Swazi Observer Partners with LEAP Students

5 April 2016

Swazi Observer aims to partner with students under the Limkokwing Entrepreneurship Accelerator Platform (LEAP) on a series of projects by the publication this year.

The LEAP programme is an innovative entrepreneurship incubator on which final semester students are mentored and assisted by an Industry Advisory panel. The panel is made up of selected members from the private sector to train students for entrepreneurial ventures through industry-based learning.

Swazi Observer’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Sizwe Shongwe said the projects aim to increase sales and raise brand awareness of the newspaper. The projects will involve platforms such as; online marketing, live blogging and advertising.

This year’s LEAP companies are: Into Africa; a tourism-marketing & branding company, Powerhouse Media Company; a design and multimedia company and Super Eagles Creations; a motion picture production company.

Limkokwing Swaziland already placed 713 of the University’s semester 6 students on internship through LEAP.
