My Limkokwing Journey
Miero recounted his time studying at Limkokwing University, saying this was where he developed his professional and personal skills.
“I first visited Limkokwings’ campus on a trip to Malaysia, when I was 20, and fell in love with the campus. The student body diversity appealed to me and I appreciated the University’s mission of including students from all over the globe. Learning about multiple cultures during my studies taught me to fit in easily in the professional environments I encountered in New York.”
For him, the University stood out because it offered 21st century programmes.
“Limkokwing had the perfect degree options I required. The professional programs offered at Limkokwing drove my decision to pursue my studies there.”
While still studying at Limkokwing, Miero recorded many achievements which made his career transition smooth right after graduation.
“I interned for Pavilion shopping center in Kuala Lumpur and managed to design for multiple restaurants such as La Boca Restaurant & Bar and Azzurro Cafe. Upon graduation, I was part of the team that designed the building wrap featuring the Malaysian flag on Limkokwing University. I was also given the opportunity to design a greeting card for the Prime Minister of Malaysia.”
Miero said studying with students from over 150 countries shaped his perception of the world and his openness to people from all walks of life in a professional environment.
“I experience different languages and cultures everyday in New York City. Limkokwing opened my mind to the diversity in our world. As a Visual Designer, this equipped me to create more fluent designs, tailored to every client’s needs.”
Miero says Limkokwing University is the perfect place for anyone who wants to experience studying in an international environment.
“I cannot express how grateful I am to have studied in such a beautiful environment,” he said.
