Christmas Ever After at Pavilion

8 January 2017

Limkokwing Goodwill Ambassadors serenaded the crowd during a Christmas launch event at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on 15 November.

As part of the opening act, Limkokwing students from more than five countries joined together to spread Christmas cheers to the public.

Students performed popular festive songs in collaboration with Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to launch ‘Christmas Ever After’, a celebration to welcome this year’s holiday season.

The event featured a fairy tale-themed castle and a crystal merry-go-round in the shopping mall’s centre court. The event also included costumed fairy tale characters such as Snow White, Robin Hood, and Prince Charming.

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Broadcasting & Journalism student Nur Batrisya binti Mohd Nazri said that the experience has helped strengthen her character while developing her portfolio.

“Participating in events such as these will build my charisma and confidence,” she said. “It makes you more open and more cultured when you learn to work with people from various cultures and personalities.”

“That is what I would need to pursue a career in Broadcasting and Journalism,” she added.

As a hub for creativity, the University collaborates with various organisations to provide relevant exposure for the students, thus preparing them for real world challenges.

“This exposure trains me to always be ready for the industry,” said Malika Akhiyara, who is studying Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Professional Design (Visual Communication).

“When you are performing, you will never know what will happen,” she said. “This teaches us to be more professional, friendly and prepared at all times.”

Limkokwing University is the first Malaysian private university to establish its academic presence in 14 countries with students from over 150 countries. The University collaborates with various local and international industry partners to produce industry-ready graduates. This multicultural and hands-on learning approach fosters highly-competitive graduates who are empowered to succeed in their future careers.
