Students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Bukit Jalil visited the Cyberjaya campus on 19 April 2018.

The group of 40 students, along with their teachers, arrived promptly at the campus with the goal of getting some exposure on the industry-related practices on campus.

The students, who will all be sitting for the SPM exam later this year, were taken for a tour at the Presidential Library, where they learned a lot of historic achievements both by the Founder and President, Tan Sri Dato Sri’ Paduka Dr Limkokwing and the University.

Informative and educational session

FICT lecturers conducted a lively session with the students at the Branding Gallery, where topics like Technopreneurship and Business Intelligence were discussed.

Students were also taken for a tour of the multimedia labs and MCP studio, where they were exposed to various learning styles and works done by Limkokwing students.

One of the students, Eidlan Harith Ahmad Wasaruddin, likened Limkokwing University to a land of opportunity.

“You can learn almost anything in this University and I love the idea of having such a multicultural environment,” he said.

Accelerating in the world of design

Another student, Karthikeyan A/L Subramaniam, said he particularly loved seeing all the colourful flags that represented various countries around the world, which he also thinks it is important as it reflects unity.

“I was also excited about this trip because I love filming and I wanted to see how the production floor works,” he said.

“Students with great interest in arts were the ones selected to come for this trip as we thought it would be beneficial for them to learn and experience industry-related practices, especially in a well-known University like Limkokwing,” said school teacher, Ms. Noor Musyassarah.

“On behalf of the school, I would like to sincerely thank the University for giving us this opportunity which has provided a lot of knowledge for the students and preparing them for life after Higher Secondary School,” she said.
