Supporting frontline healthcare heroes

In commemorating his life, Limkokwing University is giving out annual Frontline and Healthcare scholarships to children of frontliners across campuses in Asia, Africa and Europe - to show appreciation for their unwavering dedication in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic risking their lives for ours daily.

Over 17,000 healthcare frontliners have died from the corona virus, over the last year, according to a report by Amnesty International, Public Services International (PSI) and UNI Global Union.

The aim of these scholarships is to ensure our healthcare workforce are supported and motivated to continue delivering safe healthcare at all times during the - Covid-19 era and beyond.

Since the pandemic began two years ago, our Founding President actively spearheaded efforts to provide much needed aid to help curb the spread of the virus through campaigns and donations in countries where its campuses are set up.

Empowering disadvantaged youth with 21st Century Education

Steered by a greater focus to provide universal access to education, the University is availing Limkokwing Scholarships to disadvantaged youth across its campuses in Asia, Africa and Europe.

The scholarships could not have come at a better time as the covid-19 pandemic has pushed many of the world’s most vulnerable people into more precarious situations narrowing opportunities even further and pushing many on the brink of poverty.

The Limkokwing scholarships will ensure equal opportunities in admitting youth all over the world for whom a tertiary education would otherwise have been denied because of traditional ideas that reserved university education for an exclusive few.

Since inception, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology has implemented bold new innovations that have created more opportunities for young people on a global scale.

Creativity and innovation have been Tan Sri Limkokwing’s unwavering passions both in terms of what is needed to effect social and economic transformation in the developing world and in gearing up higher education to the needs of the 21st century. His vision was for his students to graduate with qualifications which they can take anywhere in the world despite their race, background, social status.
