On 7 March 2017, Malaysia Airlines CEO Peter Bellew visited Limkokwing University for discussion on possible collaboration between the airlines and Limkokwing University.

Peter Bellew is the group managing director and chief executive officer of Malaysia Airlines. He is a veteran in the tourism and aviation industry with over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry.

Before joining Malaysia Airlines, Bellew was with Ryanair Ltd. where he served in various roles with increasing responsibility since 2006. At Ryanair, he ensured cost-effective operations and punctuality at more than 150 airports in over 30 countries, created a training organisation for 600 new Boeing pilots, built employee representative council structures in 19 countries, opened 61 new overseas bases, and introduced new technologies to reduce costs across the airline.

On 1 September 2015, Bellew joined Malaysian flag carrier Malaysia Airlines as chief operations officer, as a part of Malaysia Airlines’ ongoing restructuring programme. He took over as CEO on 1 July 2016.
