829 students to graduate at Limkokwing University

25 May 2014

About 829 students are expected to graduate at the first ever Limkokwing University of Creative Technology graduation ceremony scheduled for Friday.

This was revealed by the University’s acting Campus Manager Motlhalefi Modiegane during a media briefing on the much awaited event at Mavuso Trade Centre yesterday.

The manager highlighted that when the university started in 2011, they had about 936 students who enrolled and were spread across the 13 programmes offered at the institution. He said most of the students who would not be graduating were left behind due to lack of finance to continue with their studies. He said some dropped out due to medical reasons.

“Limkokwing University has, and continues to provide academic support for students enrolled within its institution. It is our hope that the result of this support can contribute towards awareness, necessary to stabilise not only their lives but also the environment around them,” he said. The University’s Regional Director in Corporate and Media Relations Mercy Rebaone Thebe said the university will be offering the country with ‘future ready professionals’ who would indulge the community with the most creative, innovative and best techno-savvy solutions towards industry needs.
