SMK Sungai Abong Johor students explore opportunities of higher education at Limkokwing
Limkokwing University welcomed over 40 students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sungai Abong - Johor (SMK) recently for them to explore opportunities for higher education and learn about the University’s industry-focused programmes.
Designed to bring students on an educational, cultural and historical journey of multimedia, architecture, design, ICT and fashion the visit is also a chance for them to meet University staff and get firsthand knowledge of the Limkokwing student experience.
Tan Shiri Yi, a teacher at SMK Sungai Abong Muar said that he enjoyed the guided tour and thinks Limkokwing University is unique in regards to the variety of programmes it offers.
“This University is unique. I admire how it takes care of art and have a variety of courses that are dedicated for Architecture, Interior Design, and Fashion. The reason why I like that is because I know my students are interested in the fields of designing.”
She also emphasized that she will encourage her students to join Limkokwing University as it will be a healthy space for them to develop their skills and enrich their souls with its multicultural environment.
Another teacher, Siah Keng Hui, commended the warm welcome they received by the University and mentioned that Limkokwing is the best place for students to accomplish their dreams.
Nle Shu Yang a student at SMK Sungai Abong, was happy to know that Limkokwing University offers courses that match his interest. He also added that the lecturers he met take care of students and bring out the best in them.
“I have an interest in studying photography, and I am very excited to know that the University has this programme. It is impressive to know how Limkokwing incorporates creativity and modern technology within its programmes,” he added.
