In partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia, CyberSecurity Malaysia launched Safer Internet Day on 13 February 2019 at the Ministry’s headquarters.

Themed, My Digital H2o: Respect, Educate and Protect, the event was aimed at raising awareness on Digital Health and Etiquette for Malaysian youth.

The Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Eddin Syazlee Shith officiated the launch. In attendance were Cybersecurity Malaysia Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Abdul Wahab and former Chairman Board of Directors, General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Panglima Mohd Azumi Bin Mohamed.

Representatives from various youth-based associations in Malaysia such as Malaysian Youth Council; Institute for Youth Research Malaysia; Pusat Remaja Kafe@TEEN; Internet Society Malaysia Chapter (ISOC) and D. School Malaysia were also present.

In support of Safer Internet Day, Limkokwing played a major role in providing creative direction in artwork and content.

Cybersecurity’s CEO, Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin acknowledged Founder and President of the University, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Paduka Dr. Limkokwing as a game changer who’s contribution has brought so much change to the country’s creative development.

“I would like to personally thank Tan Sri Limkokwing and the University for making the launching ceremony even more interesting with such creative contribution through the posters and videos,” said Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin at a press conference.
