Metro Optical Group (MOG), one of Malaysia’s leading eyewear chain stores, pulled in a packed crowd at the Branding Gallery on 23 April 2018, where it announced its upcoming Short Film Competition.

MOG Marketing Manager, Ms. Yan Kee, said the theme of the competition was awareness and advocacy of proper eye care.

She said she hoped the competition will create a lot of awareness about the importance of taking care of your eyes.

“Eye awareness-related projects are rare, therefore MOG decided to organise this competition to provide a base for people to learn more about keeping eyes healthy and clear,” said Yan Kee.

The submission deadline for the competition is 20 June 2018, with cash prizes worth up to RM 17,000.

Limkowking’s creative and innovative students

“We have a few colleagues who are Limkokwing graduates, and we also know that this University always produces creative and innovative students, which is why we wanted to make this University to be part of this competition,” she added.

Yan Kee said she was also impressed with the diversity at the campus and loved the fact that everyone from different parts of the world can work so well under one roof.

“Through this competition, we mainly hope to create awareness among the students about eyes information and for them to go around and educate many people about its importance,” said Yan Kee.
