Limkokwing University was honoured to host directors from Kolej Vokasional recently at its flagship campus to discuss potential collaboration in opening more doors of opportunity to Malaysian students in institutions of higher learning.

Kolej Vokasional aims to produce graduates who have a recognised vocational diploma and are knowledgeable, skilled and competitive in the job market. Programmes offered range from electronic and automotive technology to fashion and culinary arts. Kolej Vokasional ensures that diploma students are competent in all vocational courses with a minimum PNGV of 2.67, have completed short semester projects, passed all courses, underwent and passed Co-Curriculum Courses (Identity) and passed Industrial Training (OJT) to be awarded the Malaysian Vocational Diploma.

“Parents want their kids to study at Kolej Vokasional with the hope that they would further advance their education journey by doing a degree programme, so there is a lot of potential for students to embark on a higher level of education here at Limkokwing University”, one of the directors explained.

Former Director General of FINAS, YBhg Dato’ Kamil Othman, spoke on behalf of Limkokwing University stating that the collaboration is an opportunity for locals to further their education beyond a diploma. “As the pandemic continues to propel further and our borders are still closed, it is indeed the best time to expose local students to higher institution learning and increase student commitment towards further studies,” he said.
