Under the guise of wanting to learn about his mother’s newfound faith, director Melvin Chan must open up past wounds as he tries to reconnect with his mother, who chose to become a Buddhist nun following an emotional divorce.

With a Diploma in Film, Sound, and Video, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Producing, Melvin has been immersing himself in all things film ever since he discovered his love for the art of filmmaking as a teenager. To date, he has directed three short films, two of which have been screened at film festivals internationally.
