Limkokwing University students returned to campus last week to begin a new semester after a 3-month break. The registration week started on the 23rd February, bringing in a multitude of new students ready for a holistic learning experience in the multicultural Limkokwing community.

The Limkokwing community consists of students from over 165 countries worldwide, offering a comprehensive platform for learning and experiencing of a variety of cultures and meeting new people from around the world.

Limkokwing University offers hands-on education best suited for the students’ optimum learning experience and an opportunity to learn from and interact with professionals from leading companies in the industry.

The University firmly believes in nurturing and enhancing students’ talents and abilities, thus offering them various opportunities to suit their interests. The Fashion Club, world’s first label created by students for students, provides a platform for fashion students to put their practical skills to test and learn industry expectations before joining the professional world.

Another greatly-applauded initiative is Heal the World Foundation, a humanitarian effort aimed at promoting compassion and social awareness through campaigns and fund-raising activities. Limkokwing students held fund raisers for various charities through the foundation, recently raising money and helping in rebuilding a school in Philippines that was left devastated in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan.

The returning students were excited about being back, saying they were looking forward to starting their classes and participate in campus activities.

Returning student from Yemen, Adam Nahari (Bachelors of Business (Hons) in International Business) tweeted, “Great atmosphere here in Limkokwing. Feeling positive energy and charged for the new semester.”

An MBA in Communication & Public Relations student from Kazakhstan, Adina Alibayeva said she was glad to see her friends again, and looking forward to starting her classes.

“It’s good to be back, there are a lot of new faces, and the environment in the plaza is as lively as ever,’ she said.

Aiste Vaiciulyte (BA (Hons) of Creative Imaging in Digital Photography), an exchange student from Lithuania, said she was excited at the prospect of meeting students from other countries.

“The possibility of meeting people from so many different countries in one place is very interesting. This never happens anywhere, even in Lithuania.”

After registration, the new students had a fun-filled 3 weeks orientation program that introduced them to the University culture and lifestyle, giving them a glimpse of their journey in Limkokwing for the next few years.
