Vicky Fan Shi Wen grew up as an only child from her hometown Xi’an, one of the four oldest capital in China. While she prefers a simple life, she enjoys the opportunity to express her creativity whenever she could.
Studying Multimedia
She describes herself as an easy going person who likes to think creatively and enjoys working on multimedia art related projects.
“As a child, I like to draw things,” she said. “I was looking for a University to improve my skills.”
“My main area of interest is in motion graphic and video editing,” she said about her choice in pursuing a course in Multimedia.”
Developing Creative Skills
During her studies at Limkokwing University, she developed her skills in using various multimedia programmes including Photoshop and Illustrator. She also learned to use Adobe After Effect (Ae), Adobe Illustrator (Ai), 3D Max, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier Pro, Dream Weaver and PF Track.
Her recent multimedia project, ‘Good Kino’, is a 2D animation for kids. The animation app is an educational message that teaches children to help make the world a better place.
Graduation Plans
For her, Limkokwing University offers a very different experience compared to other universities in addition to her studies in class. She also added that the University’s focus on industry projects has enabled her to gain more industry experience in order to pursue a career in the multimedia field.
After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Creative Multimedia, she hopes to be able to work in Malaysia before furthering her studies.
“I hope to be able to pursue my Masters in the multimedia field,” she added. At the same time, she will be taking part-time jobs during her stay in Malaysia to learn more about the country.
