Limkokwing University’s Sudanese student community hosted an art, music and dance event to celebrate the culture of Sudan on 11 October 2019 at the Hall of Fame.

Themed ‘Zanaga Night’ the event attracted a culturally diverse crowd of students from over 150 countries who got a chance to learn in depth about the cultural heritage of Sudan.

Eyas, an international student ambassador from Sudan studying at the Faculty of Information & Communication Technology said Zanaga night was a great opportunity to strengthen the network between the Sudanese Community all around Malaysia and in Limkokwing University.

“This was a great opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate regardless of where we are from. Our Limkokwing University community worked as one for the event and it’s good to see our people from all around KL here tonight,” he added.

Salokhiddin Suratkhodjaev from Uzbekistan acknowledged that the event not only provided a platform for the Sudanese community but for all Limkokwing students from different parts of the world to showcase their talent.

At Limkokwing University, students from every part of the world are given an opportunity to share and celebrate their national days and cultural heritage through events, workshops and exhibits. It is in this way that they are engaged with the world; they are encouraged to become global citizens and embrace diversity.
